About this festival

The Vienna Africa Festival takes place on the Danube Island. The centerpiece of the Africa Festival Vienna is the African market, with first-class, exclusive crafts, musical instruments, clothes and fabrics, jewelery, sculptures and masks, objects of art and everyday life, books and CDs of traditional and modern African music.

Bars and African food, cocktails and drinks provide for the physical well-being of the visitors. In addition, artists from all over Africa come to Austria to make the unique art and culture of Africa, the vitality and the joie de vivre of Africa tangible to the visitors.
