About this festival
Cretelia Festival is a multi-genre music festival in Matala, on the Greek Island of Crete.
Once a bastion of counter-cultural 'hippy' ideals in the 1960s, the location became extremely popular with important cultural figures of the time, with the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, and Janis Joplin taking up residence there.
Cretelia Festival looks to re-imagine this legendary era, inviting a roster of international DJ's to the inspiring, scenic locale; with Komos Beach clubs, coastal chilling, and late night parties will undoubtedly reignite your free spirit over the course of the festival's duration.
