About this festival
Kendal Calling is an independent weekend music festival on Lowther Deer Park in Cumbria's picturesque Lake District. Having started as a 900 capacity event in 2006, the festival is now a 13,000 party with a diverse lineup that spans from rock and indie to electronic music.
Recent editions have included sets from the likes of the Stereophonics, Tinie Tempah, Primal Scream and Manic Street Preachers across the small, intimate site. Amongst the music, you'll also find copious amounts of food and drink, from every cuisine imaginable, as well as quirky art installations, pop-up bars, a market and a cinema.
Kendal Calling is also a family-friendly festival, hosting its very own kid's area, complete with a huge variety of entertainment for the little ones, making the festival an ideal choice for a child's first festival.
