About this festival
In 2003, the nonprofit organization Semnonenbund e.V. launched the charity festival "Rock For Roots". The goal was to raise money for the project "Historic Village Gannahall".
Over the years, the rock and metal-themed festival has grown bigger and bigger and can now look back on fourteen successful years with national and international greats of the metal scene.
2012 resulted in the association's cooperation with the operators of the Berlin rock and metal pub "Blackland", which since then aligned with the Semnonenbund together the festival on the open-air stage in Nauen. This collaboration will continue in 2018 at the 15th edition.
