About this festival

Roskilde Festival is the oldest and biggest music festival in Denmark. Rock, heavy metal, urban music and straight-up pop are given the greatest of stages at one of Europe's real festival giants.

Since its first event way back in 1971, Roskilde has become the type of festival that draws crowds of over 100,000 just by its reputation alone. Huge – and often left-field – lineups combine with some of the wildest campsite parties in the world, making for 8 days of incredible creativity.

Infamous side-activities have also given Roskilde a gravitas beyond the music, with the notorious Naked Run first among them.
