Taube Spelen

About this festival

Taube Games is a two-day outdoor event where visors, poetry and anecdotes of and about Evert Taube performed. Located at Orust, in the middle of the Swedish summer, the games are also well-connected with Evert Taube's poem.
The performance in just over 3 hours begins with singing before proceeding with the performers' interpretations and anecdotes. Here blends old with new, fairy-groaned prawns and laughter with tears. You will experience the unique meeting of artists who usually do not perform on the same scene. 1/2 of the visors are written by Evert Taube. Remaining are the visiting artists' own materials. The event is hosted by Taubespelen's own 16-person great orchestra led by Jerker Johansson.
In the area, it will sell food and beverage under the direction of Orust Flowers. In addition, there is an art and photo exhibition, a flower exhibition and a literature and music exhibition in the area.
Contributing artists on Saturday include Sven-Bertil Taube, Lisa Nilsson, Daughter, Hanna Boquist, Jasmine Sjöstedt and the South American group Quipus.
