About this festival
For the first time in its history, the whole program of Jazz in August is organized by a lathe of a single musician. And hardly could the choice fall on a more striking name - both for the history of the festival and for the fundamental course of music that we have been able to hear in the last decades. John Zorn is this musician, with a deep authorial brand, with an activity as fruitful as varied, as essential as a soundtrack for this time that has become an indescribable symbol not only of New York's artistic avant-garde, as creator, but also as a pioneer of new territories and congregator of a community that revolves around him.
