About this festival

The 38th edition of Leffingeleuren is raring to bust a few more boundaries this year with its offbeat and eclectic lineup of Electro and Dance, Rock, Pop and Blues.

Most of this year's big-hitters are of an electronic persuasion, with Trentmøller's languid graze backed up by the heavy-laden digitals of acts like Magnus, Oscar & the Wolf and Tricky. And yet, as always, it's not all decks and headphones. Wovenhand, along with Intergalactic Lovers and Blood Red Shoes, lead the line of guitar resistance, with the gentle lilt of Admiral Freebee completing the diverse musical spectrum that Leffingeleuren has made its signature.

Incorporating the 1 Minute Film&Sound Awards into its artistic palette, Leffingeleuren is well and truly part of the furniture in Europe's front room of modernised old-school festivals. Moving with the times expertly, it looks set to be around for another generation and beyond.
