Margate Soul Festival began in 2006 on the streets of Margate’s Old Town with a sound system and an intimate crowd of soulful music lovers 16 years ago.
It now sits comfortably among one of the UK’s best summer soulful music events. Held annually over the first weekend in August, the festival boasts an eclectic mix of soul inspired music and also includes arenas dedicated to Soulful House, jazzFunk, Boogie & Reggae. MSF boasts an array of International live acts and over 100 DJs.
No other festival in the UK offers such a ‘whole town’ experience for a dazzling day out. The picturesque streets of Margate Harbour, the Old Town, restaurants, cafes and multitude of independent shops and vintage emporiums overspill with good vibes whilst the main indoor and outdoor stages takes place at The Winter Gardens in along with free, family-friendly fringe events, four other outdoor stages, street entertainment, street food, dedicated nightlife clubs & bars open late.
