Les Escales

About this festival

Les Escales is a multi-genre music festival in Saint-Nazaire on the west coast of France.

2019 sees the 28th edition of the festival, a testament to its importance to the country's modern cultural heritage.

Each year the festival sets a different theme as it pays homage to a particular culture or city. This year Brazil's São Paulo is the focus, so expect a vibrant mix of musicians and artists from the diverse city to join an already impressive lineup drawing from in the French and international music scenes.

Despite its growth, Les Escales maintains a distinctly communal feel, providing spaces for groups (environmental, NGOs etc) to promote issues important to them.
