The southeastern Upper Bavaria has always been a stronghold, as far as Maschinenhüttlfestl with Rüscherl and Bryan Adams was concerned. Many a farmer who had one of the country disco DJs hang up in his barn attracted thousands of rural youth like the moths. But instead of Bon Jovi and Scooter the Carei stood on Tocotronic and Franz Ferdinand. And the Carei became more and more. So they quickly put on an "alternative party" and scored on the posters with the promise: "Guaranteed without Spitz Audio!" The first baby steps towards organizing large events was done. If you can organize a party, why not a festival? If you thought yourself and within 6 weeks you stomped a small but fine festival in Anschöringer Achenpark from the ground.
