Munich's Fruhlingfest (Springfest in English) is the sister event to the city's legendary beer festival held later in the year.

Known as Little Oktoberfest, the festival welcomes thousands of people to the Bavarian capital for more than two weeks of traditional larks, including copious amounts of with beer and food, funfairs, fireworks, music, and an all-round festive atmosphere.

And by taking place at the end of April/start of May, Springfest Frühlingsfest takes advantage of the warmer weather, laying on a more intimate festival that shirks none of the the excitement or character of its more famous sibling.
