10 epic moments that happened on Coachella's Weekend #1

After an intense first weekend, we reviewed what were Coachella's weekend #1 best moments.

From unexpected guest appearances to insane stage set ups, EDM blasts to fully integrated orchestras, the desert brought us the first great moments of 2017's festival scene.

Woah. That’s what we said when Drake showed up during Future’s set to perform “Jumpman”, “Fake Love”, and “Gyalchester”. Migos & Ty Dolla $ign were there too.

Lorde gave her first show in what seemed forever. After being out of the spotlight for 2 and half years, she played a small show in a barbecue restaurant two days before taking the stage at Coachella with a full production set, a lot of talking and two new songs.

Legend Hans Zimmer showed us that Coachella can really be a dream inside a dream with a mind-blowing mashup performance of Inception's OST, nearing 10 minutes of a twisted journey. Take a deep breath and see for yourself.

Even with some technical issues that stopped the show a couple of times, caused by some "aliens" according to Radiohead's Thom Yorke, the band carried on with full force in order to complete their regular joie de vivre show. And by that we mean it was as depressingly awesome as it regularly is. Tissues may be in order, see below.

Father John Misty, or Josh Tillman, has been the cover of magazines, the face of Facebook live videos, and the talk every time he says something genuinely entertaining. Expectations were high and he did not disappoint playing his new album Total Entertainment Forever almost entirely. He has just announced a European tour, don't miss your chance to see it all come down live.

DAMN. Yes, you got that right. Kendrick Lamar wasn't too shy about playing songs for his super fresh album. "GOD.", "DNA.", and "HUMBLE." got their live festival debut and Travis Scott, ScHoolboy Q and Future stopped by.

The Coachella vibe is not only made by the shows, but sometimes by the celebrities that wander around in between the VIP areas and the side stage. Rihanna brought a dope rhinestone bodysuit straight out of Gucci's 2017 Fall to the desert to show everyone how it's done.

Future Islands debuted some songs for their new album The Far Field with Samuel T. Herring giving it all with his signature dance moves and power voice.

It can't be easy to fill in Beyoncé's pregnant shoes and become the late addition to a major lineup like Coachella's, but Lady Gaga was not worried about it at all. A well-accomplished show, it filled everyone's expectations and proved that pop headliners can really please all if they are willing to prove why they are there.
