Halifax Pop Explosion is an alternative music festival in Nova Scotia's capital city. Founded in 1992, the festival is one of Canada's most established musical events.
Focussed on acts outside the mainstream, Halifax Pop Explosion pulls from everything from rock and punk to r&b and pop to curate its lineup.
The festival is spread throughout various venues, taking over the city's downtown core. And along with its musical offerings, HPE also features a conference, bringing together industry professionals, artists, and fans to discuss current trends, topics, and issues in the music industry.
