Sobre este festival

MIMO Festival is a music festival in Amarante, Portugal, that celebrates jazz, soul, blues, folk and world music.

Now in its second year, the Portuguese satellite of the famous Brazilian festival welcomes icons of global music to perform in the historic town.

Among them are Herbie Hancock, a true living legend of jazz; Tinariwen, who have taken the Tuareg music of the Sahara region worldwide; Brazilian mangue bit pioneers Nação Zumbi, and Portuguese singer-songwriter Manel Cruz.

The festival also extends to an educational program, film screenings, forum discussions and cultural city tours to ensure an extensive celebration of art and culture, both from the local region and from across the globe.
