À propos de ce festival
The Saaremaa Opera Days are the most popular opera festival in the Baltics, which takes place at the heart of Kuressaare's historic castle court, where a 2000-seater opera house is being erected for this purpose. The capital of Kuressaare, the capital of Saaremaa, is awakening during this time: the streets of the taverns' terraces are open until late at night, and the people are at home.
The opera houses include the Shanghai Opera House and the Hungarian National Opera, Bizet's Carmen, Mozart's Figaro Wedding, Verdi's Traviata, Strauss's Mustalparun and, of course, the legendary Alexela Ooperigala. In addition, the contemporary "Riskant Game" opera by Wen Deqing, the Shanghai Dance Theater and the Chinese composer.
